the went (west east new territories) landfill is the largest landfill in hong kong, where most of the daily domestic waste generated by hong kong residents is transported for landfill treatment. the biogas produced by anaerobic fermentation at the landfill site is about 8500 nm3/h. the biogas will fuel seven sets of 2000kw gas generating units, generating 120 million kilowatt-hour electricity annually, and will be delivered to millions of households through the clp power grid for the benefit of the people of hong kong.
in order to ensure the continuous, stable and efficient power generation of biogas generating units, and at the same time supporting the biogas purification device, the impurities such as ammonia, moisture, dust and siloxane in the biogas are removed, and the purified biogas is transported to the gas generating units by boosting the pressure of the blower.
this project not only converts waste into treasure and converts waste into electricity, but also meets the requirements of deodorization, drainage and discharge up to standard in landfill. make hong kong's environment cleaner and more beautiful! the air is fresher!
